The Florida State Department of Education requires that school districts notify parents/guardians when their children are being instructed by a teacher who is “out-of-field.” “Out-of-field” is a term used for teachers who are assigned teaching duties in a class dealing with a subject matter that is outside the field in which the teacher is certified.
Please be advised that your child is currently being instructed by
Natalia Fernandez who is teaching Spanish/Technology “out-of-field” for the current 2019-2020 school year.
It is important to note that the district requires “out-of-field” teachers to actively pursue certification requirements. . Out of field teachers have one year to add their current teaching assignment subject area to their current certification
Thank you for your continued support.
