Elizabeth Jaques

Welcome to SKY Academy in Englewood.  I am looking forward to an exciting and fun-filled school year. My name is Elizabeth Jaques (pronounced Jakes) and I teach 6th grade Language Arts. 

I am originally from Battle Creek, Michigan.  My family and I moved to Florida in June of 2012.  Before moving to the Sunshine state, I taught for 14 years at Harper Creek Community Schools.  During that time I taught grades 3,4,5 and 7.  I have earned both a bachelors and masters degree from Western Michigan University. Upon moving to Florida, I taught 7th grade Language Arts at Woodland Middle School in Sarasota County.

When I am not teaching at SKY, I will be spending time with my family.  My husband and I have two children. They keep us busy with sports such as baseball, football and horseback riding.
